As part of the San Diego public art initiative, Park Social, this 20’ wide hexagonal shaped installation is comprised of community painted tire stacks that form points of a hexagon to create an overhead shade structure and musical environment beneath. Displayed once a month for 6 months beginning on May 22nd, 2022, this installation will be installed in a different park in San Diego for a total of 6 events. The environment will be filled with xylophones, bell tone structures, handheld musical instruments, and will be a vibrant space of communal rhythmic and art-making celebration open to all.
