A set of sculptures for a Mission style private residence in San Diego, CA that took cues from the Talavera tiles these clients had collected on their travels and installed en masse throughout the property. Using 1/2” aluminum that was machine cut, and primed and painted using automotive finishes, the pieces were layered on top of each other to create a dimensional set of sculptures on post bases rising up out of the ground to a max height of 13’, a psychedelic kaleidoscope of deconstructed tile patterns.
