This installation was created for an tiki-themed outdoor bar overlooking Petco Park by Consortium Holdings called Fairweather. The installation was envisioned to infill between the existing steel beams overhead to create shade as well as vibrancy and visual interest for the space. Aluminum brackets were custom fabricated and mounted to the beams allowing marine grade rope to weave back and forth creating vibrant bursts of color, filling the space below with dappled, patterned light. The vertical steel columns were also wrapped in multi-colored bands of rope.
