I was commissioned to do an installation on a collectors patio in Los Angeles. Responding to all the concrete in the home and the minimalist décor, I wanted to bring a natural element to the all grey concrete patio. I laminated cedar beams together to make a wood block and carved into the block to achieve a rock-like form. I made room for stainless steel planters to sit in along the back side of the form to plant with different hanging plant specimens.
